“Hello, sun in my face. Hello you who made the morning and spread it over the fields...Watch, now, how I start the day in happiness, in kindness.”
― Mary Oliver
refueling is essential for me. my friend carolyn and i went to the mountains for a weekend with misty mawn at random arts in saluda, .....i am full again~
seeing the mountains in the distance on the way there made me feel like a little kid inside....with such a deep anticipation and feeling of renewal. the bold and graceful beauty is breathtaking.
before heading to our bed and breakfast (the oaks), we took off down a road that led to a beautiful waterfall. (pearson falls), it was a short hike to the top where we hung out for a while with others that were beholding the sight and the feel of the cool air from the falls.
the path leading to the falls...of course i had to pick up a stick and draw...
this is the tunnel leading up to the falls. so cool with graffiti and damp walls, and the light at the end...
and a little disco barn off main street....lots of dancing
and good fun music. so colorful and full of life.
me, not liking realistic drawing at all, stretching....staying open, and practicing something i
don't like to do :)
mixed media collage exercise with misty
"i hold you dear to my heart"
